Christmas is Coming!
If you, like so many up and down the country, are struggling to make ends meet this Christmas, we know that you may be feeling the stress of not being able to afford the best decorations for your home to make Christmas special for your children. Inexpensive Christmas decorations have never been more necessary than they are this year which is why we have compiled some of our favourites here for you! In this blog we will be highlighting some of the best budget-saving decorations.
Jazz Up Your Jam Jars
Upcycle your empty jam jars into fun and festive candle decorations for your home. Simply tape off a section at the bottom of the jar, cover the area with glue then dip it in a glitter of your choice. Wait for it to dry, remove the tape and voila! For some extra detail, you can also tie some ribbon or string at the top.
DIY Advent Calendar
Instead of reaching for a pricey chocolate, beauty or activity advent calendar, a homemade alternative can be just as fun and exciting. All you’ll need is some small bags or wrapping paper, tape or string to secure them, and something to fill them with. You know your child best, so this method will allow you to ensure they are happy each day throughout December leading up to the big day.
Eye-Catching Paper Baubles
Inexpensive paper baubles and folded fans look absolutely fantastic hanging from the ceiling against the wall. They are an easy way of filling empty wall space and can be created using any kind of paper you have lying around the house. Whether you are a fan of lots of colour or simply plain white, you can choose whatever kind of paper you would like.Christmas is the perfect time of year to showcase your creativity and pull out all of the stops, but it doesn’t have to break the bank.
