Why Choose an Orangery

Durham Design offer a wide range of orangeries that will add space and style to your home. As well adding beautiful aesthetic features, orangeries also have lots of practical benefits such as adding resale value and creating new areas which can be used for whatever reason you may need. In this blog we will be discussing some of the wonderful additions you can make to your orangery to make it more personal to you and flow seamlessly with your existing property.

UltraSky

UltraSky by Ultraframe can be installed on a new build extension, Orangery, or inserted into an existing flat roof. They are designed to help you add the feeling of space and natural light to your home. The UltraSky lantern roof is available in a number of bespoke rectangular sizes allowing you to find the perfect composition for your orangery and existing roof. You can also choose the UltraSky Flat and UltraSky Roof depending on your preferred style.

Loggia Columns

Loggia Columns are super insulated columns which can be installed with your Durham Design orangery. They have a u-value of 0.15W/m2, making them twice as efficient as a normal thermally efficient cavity wall, five more times efficient than a brick column, and ten times more efficient than typical window glazing.

Insulated Pelmet

Insulated pelmets are suitable for conservatories, orangeries or LivinRoof extensions. They sit internally around the perimeter of the room, giving the illusion of an Orangery or flat roof with a lantern roof on top. The pelmet also has a plastered finish and provides the perfect place to install electronics such as LED lights and speakers. They provide more than just decorative value as they can also keep the room insulated with its fully insulated cavity.
